Why should I work with a recruiter when I can apply to companies on my own?

Because we have represented many companies over a number of years, we know them well. This allows us to help you assess the best career fit for you. You'll have a better understanding of who the companies are, and what their expectations are, should you join their team. When you meet with us, you also get access to more employers than you could attain on your own, and many positions that will never be advertised to the general public. You can get relevant answers before the interview. As your "talent agent," we provide you with free career search capabilities in your field of expertise.

What makes Qualified Associates different than other recruiters?

We specialize in specific industries in order to provide the most knowledgeable service possible. At QA, we don't consider you a commodity, but a long-term talent relationship; we don't forget about you. We expect to support you through a lifetime of career advancement. We take great pride in helping people make solid, career-enhancing moves-that's what gives us our job satisfaction.

How confidential is my job search?

Completely confidential, if that is your wish. We will not pursue new career opportunities without your approval. We can also omit certain resume information during the presentation process, so that your name is not known and can't be guessed. Our hiring managers are aware that confidentiality is expected during and after the interview process, particularly if no hiring match is made.

How quickly will you have positions available for me to consider?

In most cases, when we contact you it will be regarding an open position. If we don't have an immediate opening, but feel your experience is a good business fit for one of the companies we represent, with your permission, we will make an introduction. There are also times when we won't have the right position for you. But by developing a relationship with you, we will always be on the lookout for your next great opportunity-whether that's in a month, 6 months, or even a year.

Am I guaranteed a position when I work with QA?

Not necessarily. We are one resource — and an excellent one — but not every candidate we talk to finds their next position through us. However, you are guaranteed to receive expert career advice, consultation, and support, regardless of whether or not we are the resource that finds you your next great position.

What if I am not interested in a position you present — will you continue to work with me?

Of course! We will always call to make you aware of opportunities in your field, but will not write you off just because one of the positions is not right. You will have the opportunity to tell us why a position does not make sense for you, so that we can adjust our search parameters to more closely match your employment goals. Remember that our overall goal is not to find you a "job"-it's to find a good fit for your skill set, career aspirations, and potential!

Will I have to pay for your help?

No — all costs are paid by the employer.

How do I contact a recruiter at Qualified Search?
